This magazine featured the top 40 designers in 40 cities of which Elaine Addison of Addison Interiors Design LLC is featured from Minnesota.

St. Paul Magazine “When to Splurge,” By Ingrid Skjong

This article illustrates how spending more in certain areas of your home, like hardware, lighting, counter-tops, flooring and windows can lend a rich look and add value to your home. Elaine Addison was one of several designers interviewed for this article. In the article, Elaine suggests hardware styles to give your room a Country French, Old World or contemporary look. Elaine also gives advice on choosing windows and recommends sticking to brand names which allows for more customization.

The meticulous amount of details that went into this space sets it apart from other designs, as seen in the cabinetry, staining, painting and stone, which surrounds the hood and the back of range.

Home and Garden Show

Addison Interiors participated in the IFDA Celebrity Showcase Rooms at the 2004 Home and Garden Show. Addison Interiors designers, Elaine Addison along with another designer from Addison Interiors were chosen to redesign KARE 11 morning anchor, Kim Insley’s porch. Keeping Kim’s style and goals for her porch in mind, together they designed a room saturated with warm, vibrant colors, furnished with pieces custom-designed for comfort and durability. Addison Interiors and a description of the design were featured in IFDA’s supplemental magazine, Affordable Luxury, at this year’s celebrity showcase rooms.

“Warm, Welcoming & Functional,”

A kitchen, designed by Elaine Addison, was featured in this issue of Furnishings magazine. The challenge was to create a professional, commercial kitchen for the homeowner, yet make it feel warm and welcoming. In this article, Elaine describes how she met this challenge by combining wood, natural stone and rich finishes, and added highly functional, over-sized appliances with paneled fronts which allow them to blend in by giving them the feel of furniture. Elaine took the project from blueprint through completion, and then staged the home for its appearance on a home parade. The home won a 2004 People’s Choice Award.

Furnishings Magazine “Now & Zen,” by Carolyn Crooke

This article featured a unique model home, designed by Elaine Addison. The model home demonstrates building standards rather than a specific pattern of construction. With this type of custom-built home, a designer is typically consulted during the initial planning process and throughout construction to help choose exterior colors and materials, and internal features like colors, granite, cabinetry, hardware and more.
